The heart behind Helping Arms Foundation began decades ago through the powerful legacy of Rev. Satyanarayana, a devoted follower of Christ who came from a Brahmin Hindu background in Rājahmundry, India. After choosing to follow Jesus, he faced intense persecution—including the loss of both his eyes. But even through blindness, he never lost sight of God’s calling. He preached boldly, loved deeply, and stood firm in his faith. With nothing but courage and conviction, he planted a small church—one that, by God’s grace, has now grown into a network of over 18 churches. Though he is no longer with us, his testimony continues to inspire generations.
Helping Arms Foundation was founded by his daughter, Mrs. Beulah Bonela, who was deeply moved by his legacy and called to serve the most overlooked—widows, orphans, the elderly, and the broken. Her vision gave structure to the mission he began, turning faith into action and compassion into sustainable programs. What began as one man’s obedience is now a ministry built on prayer, service, and God’s unfailing love. At Helping Arms, we carry forward this calling—not in our own strength, but in the strength of the One who called us. And we invite you to join us, so that together, we may continue to bring light into lives shadowed by hardship and write the next chapter of this ongoing story of redemption.
