At Helping Arms Foundation, we have witnessed many stories of pain and resilience—but Srivalli’s journey is one that lingers deeply in our hearts. Abandoned at a young age and thrust into a life of forced marriage and premature motherhood, she was left with no choice but to survive alone.
Her family offered no support. The burden of caring for her children and an ailing mother-in-law on dialysis fell squarely on her shoulders. Every day brought new battles—against hunger, isolation, and exhaustion. With no hand to hold, she carried the weight of rejection and responsibility in silence.
💔 "I felt invisible... like no one would ever care,” she recalled. “One evening, I fell to the floor in tears and cried out to God, feeling utterly forsaken."
That prayer was heard. Through the generosity of our donors and mentors, Srivalli was welcomed into our Sewing Program—a space where she didn’t just learn a skill, but began a journey of healing, faith, and transformation.
With every stitch, Srivalli began rebuilding what life had broken. Weekly Bible studies and one-on-one mentorship reminded her that she was seen, valued, and loved. What began as a sewing class became a sacred journey of renewal.
Today, Srivalli is no longer just surviving—she’s thriving. Her hands provide for her family, her heart rests in faith, and her soul is filled with the joy of being seen and supported. Her life is a powerful reminder that compassion can rewrite someone’s future.
